Grey and Orange Modern Weddings in Washington, DC
A city chic wedding with amazing typographic details. The color palette is grey and orange. The bride wears a ruffled Monique Lhuillier.
This is the ultimate in chic and originality.
Kristina & Alan got married in October 2011. I love the way they boldly used their names & dates on all their stationery. In their modern museum venue, the Newseum, in Washington DC, the orange flowers accented by velvety gray foliage and cozy cushions created a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Watch out for the cutest baby flower girl in the world!
The reception at Newseum was the highlight of our wedding. The incredible backdrop of the lit-up Pennsylvania Avenue and Capitol in the background, with floor-to-ceiling windows, was a stunning setting. The decor was fun yet elegant. Platinum and orange were the colors chosen. Festive flower arrangements and personalized wine bottles as gifts to guests completed the look.
The outdoor terrace had a variety of funky furniture that complemented the mood, which was fun and familiar but also distinctive. The party was fun and friendly due to the small size of the group (75 people), which consisted of close family and friends. However, it was also distinctive thanks to the location, dancing, great DJ, and amazing food from Wolfgang Puck’s renowned restaurant, The Source.
A truly unforgettable experience that we will never forget!
Congratulations to Kristina, Alan, and their baby boy, who just gave birth!
