The Sweetest Autumnal Rooftop Elopement Inspiration
Hot toddies and someone you have in your life is all you require to stay warm on an Chicago rooftop, right? This shoot is a couple from the real world whose words of affection make us feel warm and fuzzy inside.
“She is the rock of our relationship, the quiet calm of any storm, and the person I call home.” Lauren affirms about Amy what a beautiful heartwarming way to describe Amy!
Although the pictures don’t reveal it, I’m sure some storms are heading towards the Windy City anytime this week from now. Photographer Rachel Brown Kulp created a collection of autumnal, warm details to all our stormy autumn weddings as well as grooms. The lamb’s ear can be an elegant accent to the peach and light orange flowers, and what would you like hanging roses over the ceremony? We’re keeping an eye at that decanter of whisky waiting for hot drinks or your favorite cocktail of your choice (Manhattan Please!)

This story is about love at first sight. We took photos of real-life couple Amy and Lauren under an arbor of flowers that wiggle and sparkling lighting on a rooftop in the Chicago’s North Side. Tables covered in a cascade of autumnal bounty — white and gold the pumpkins and pillar candles the chrysanthemums peach roses, eucalyptus and peach and an stocked bar cart created the perfect setting for a relaxed, intimate wedding that was with a mix of urban and rustic.
The two ladies have been together for some time, and all afternoon, they gazed at each other as if there was nobody anywhere else (or up there!). Lauren describes about Amy, “She is the rock of our relationship, the quiet calm of any storm, and the person I call home.” Even though this was a stylized shoot, everyone believed they were watching the authentically.
